Origin Books operates a 28,500-square-foot production facility in Seattle, Washington. All printing, binding, and finishing happen in-house, from prepress file review through shipping.

The Seattle facility houses every stage of production under one roof:

Canon digital presses for full-color and black-and-white printing
Softcover perfect binding and PUR binding
Hardcover case binding (printed and cloth)
Spiral and wire-o binding
Premium finishing: foil stamping, 3D Spot UV, metallic printing, rounded corners, custom endsheets
In-house prepress review and proofing

All books ship from Seattle. Pacific Northwest customers receive shorter transit times than books shipped from East Coast or overseas facilities.

Paper: Rainforest Alliance certified stocks in white and cream, coated and uncoated, 60lb to 100lb

Cover: Gloss or matte lamination, UV coating, foil stamping, 3D Spot UV, metallic printing

Printing Locally

Pacific Northwest customers benefit from proximity to the Seattle facility:

Shorter shipping. Books ship fewer miles to Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska addresses. Shorter routes reduce transit time and shipping cost.
In-person visits. Local authors can tour the facility, review paper and binding samples, and meet the production team.
Physical proofs. Authors within driving distance can pick up physical proofs rather than waiting for shipping.
Domestic production. All books are manufactured in the United States. No international freight or customs delays.

Origin Books serves authors and publishers nationwide. Customers outside the Pacific Northwest receive the same production quality and dedicated project representative.
